Vittorio Reggianini (1858-1938).
The painting - which depicts three young 18th century beauties enjoying the attentions of an enthusiastic suitor - is signed by the artist and hangs in a newly commissioned, gold metal leaf 'Chippendale' frame.
As with all of the original antique oil paintings we sell it is offered in excellent condition, having just been professionally cleaned, restored and re-varnished. Clients should also note that tracked and signed for international shipping is complimentary.
Vittorio Reggianini was a famous Italian painter of elegant Rococo interior scenes featuring stylish young Parisians of pre-Revolutionary France. One of a number of Florentine painters of superbly executed bourgeois interior scenes like Frederic Soulacroix (1858- 1933), Federico Andreotti (1847-1930) and Arturo Ricci (1854-1919), Reggianini is considered perhaps the finest painter of fashionable young ladies of the Ancien Régime and of the sumptuous fabrics they wore.
