  • Additional Information

‘In the Lledr Valley’ by Robert Gallon (1845-1925). The painting – which depicts a mother and child outside a Welsh cottage on a summer’s day – is signed by the artist and hangs in a newly commissioned gold metal leaf frame of fine quality.

A very popular and successful Victorian landscape painter, Robert Gallon’s technique and choice of subjects is similar to that of his contemporary Benjamin Williams Leader. Between 1868 to 1903 Robert Gallon exhibited 32 works at The Royal Academy and 27 at the British Institution in London.
