‘Une Liaison Dangereuse’ by Félix Cassel (1801-1849). The painting is signed by the artist, and presented in a superb quality newly commissioned gold metal leaf frame.

 

As with all of the original antique oil paintings we sell it is offered in excellent condition, having just been professionally cleaned, restored and re-varnished. Clients should also note that tracked and signed for international shipping is complimentary.

 

Pierre André Victor Félix Cassel trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris under Antoine-Jean Gros. Between 1827 and 1848 he exhibited 22 paintings at the Paris Salon, a number of which are now in the ownership of the French government and on display in public buildings across France.
