This is a large fine 19th century landscape oil on canvas depicting a summer evening on Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands by the celebrated English landscape artist Alfred de Bréanski Jnr. (1877-1945). ‘Twilight, Loch Ness’ is signed by the artist and is sold in a newly commissioned superb quality gold metal leaf swept frame.
As with all of the original antique oil paintings we sell it is offered in the finest condition it can be for its age, having just been professionally cleaned and re-varnished. Clients should also note that fully insured, tracked and signed for international shipping is complimentary.
Alfred de Bréanski Jnr. (or Fontville de Bréanski as he is also known) is most famous for his landscapes featuring the lochs and mountains of the Scottish Highlands. He exhibited at the Royal Academy in London, and with the Royal Society of British Artists at the Suffolk Street Gallery.
