‘Sunset, Loch Katrine’ by Clarence Henry Roe (1850-1909).
A large fine 19th century oil on canvas depicting deer watering at the edge of Loch Katrine in the Scottish Highlands beneath a magnificent evening sunset. The painting is signed by the artist and hangs in a superb quality, newly commissioned, bespoke gold metal leaf swept frame.

Clarence Roe was the son of the popular artist Robert Henry Roe (1822-1905) and his two brothers Colin Graeme Roe and Robert Ernest Roe were also successful late 19th century artists. Clarence Henry Roe was a prolific painter of Scottish Highland loch scenes as well as English country landscapes.
