Near Stratford Upon Avon - 19th Century Landscape
This is a fine 19th century oil on canvas depicting a mother and daughter crossing a field in summertime ‘Near Stratford Upon Avon’ by the listed Victorian landscape painter Arthur Bevan Collier 1832-1909. The painting is signed by the artist and dated 1899. It hangs is a good 20th century swept giltwood frame.
As with all of the original antique oil paintings we sell it is offered in the very finest condition it can be for its age having just been cleaned and re-varnished.
Between 1855 and 1899 Arthur Bevan Collier exhibited 21 paintings at the Royal Academy, 53 with the Royal Society of British Artists and 7 at British Institution in London.
